Maka tali-tali sauh dipotong lalu sauh-sauh itu dibiarkan tenggelam ke laut. Sejalan dengan itu juga mereka melepaskan tali yang mengikat kemudi-kemudi. Kemudian mereka menaikkan layar di bagian depan kapal supaya angin meniup kapal itu maju menuju pantai.
